A short while after Dad passed away, Mom and I were at her house and she turned to me with her sparkling, beaming eyes and beautiful smile, and said, "I hope God gives me another 10 years!" God gave her those years, and added another 8; one for each of her daughters. When Mom was moving from our big house of 50 years into her joyous little palace at assisted living, she completed a question on a social-mixer form by stating that her most significant accomplishment was having 8 daughters. Thank you for blessing us, Mom.
